Dear Friends:

In the 2007-2008 state budget, funding was passed by the Tennessee General Assembly and allocated for community enhancement grants to be administered by the Secretary of State’s office.  Governmental agencies or entities or non-governmental 501(c), not for profit, or tax exempt organizations that meet the eligibility requirements may submit an application to receive a portion of these funds.

For your convenience, attached is a copy of the application which you can also find on the state’s Web site at http://state.tn.us/sos/ss-0100.pdf.  Applications are due to the Secretary of State’s office by 4:30 on August 15.  If you have any questions about the application, please contact my office, and I will be glad to help.  Funds are to be equally distributed across the state.   Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.
