Dear Friends:

RE: Volunteering as a Judge for Speech & Debate Tournament

For many years now, I have been involved both as a judge and a judge coordinator for this speech and debate club.  I do apologize for the short notice but would encourage you to consider being a part of this event.  These young men and women and this event will brighten your day.

This invitation is being sent to you because we would like to invite you to participate as a judge for the Speech and Debate Tournament, which is going to take place on the MTSU campus on May 11^th and 12^th.   Attached is the recruiting letter and judging coordinator form.

Approximately 100 participants and their families will travel from across the southeast to participate in this prestigious event.  People with many different talents are needed to judge the individual speaking events, Public Forum Debate, and Student Congress Debate.  Over 250 judging slots need to be filled, which will require between 75–100 individuals. Will you help us?   A short orientation will be given prior to each event to give you the information you need to be a judge for the event.
