NRA Grants
The
National Foundation of Women Legislators and the
National Rifle Association are co-sponsoring their
thirteenth annual bill of Rights Essay Contest for
college-bound female high school juniors and seniors. The
contest's seven winners will each receive a college
scholarship and an all-expenses-paid trip to NFWL's Annual
conference, where thy will network with,
be mentored by and speak to hundreds of women lawmakers from
across the United States. This
year’s essay topic is Freedom and Civic Virtues. In a
400 to 600 word essay explain how this years topic can exemplify freedom and civic virtue in their everyday
lives.
The NRA has
funded over $700,000 in NRA Foundation Grants
since inception! Here’s the

State's Career Clusters Initiative
This initiative
was designed to provide Tennessee educators and students information about
career opportunities and related educational study within the state. This guide
is intended to help students plan a focus of study that will prepare them for
high skill, high wage and high demand jobs. It provides students and educators
information on 16 career clusters programs of study, educational requirements
and other associated information such as the various jobs within the cluster.

American Cancer Society Mid-South Division
American Cancer Society Mid-South Division offers a
scholarship program that awards scholarships to
your cancer survivors pursuing higher education. For

YES Program
The Youth Education Summit (Y.E.S.) The
Tennessee Friends of NRA funds a NRA Foundation Grant each
year to send a student from our state. The seven day expense
paid trip to Washington, D.C. is a life changing experience
for a high school sophomore or junior. You can learn more

Tennessee Graduate Nursing Load Forgiveness Program
Upon completion of a Master's degree, PhD or DNP in a
Tennessee nursing school, 25% of the loan is forgiven
for each year a graduate teaches in a Tennessee school
of nursing.

Lifelong Learning - The Bernard Osher Foundation
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Vanderbilt
offers non-credit classes that usually last six weeks
during the fall, winter and spring. This program is
open to all seniors interested in learning for a
lifetime.
