While serving as a
state representative, Donna has earned a reputation for representing the values of her
district. She is
an
established, conservative, results-oriented legislator who solves
problems.
During her
service, Donna led a successful grassroots effort to defeat the
proposed state income tax as well as leading a successful effort to
repeal the practice of giving driver's license to illegal aliens.
She has become an effective champion for small business, lower
property taxes and economic security for families of the 34th
District and Tennessee.

In 2010, Donna married Ronnie
Barrett. They reside in Murfreesboro, TN.
Donna currently serves as a
senior fellow for the beacon center, an independent non profit
and nonpartisan research organization dedicated to providing
concerned citizens, the media and public leaders with expert
empirical research and timely free market policy solution to
public policy issues in Tennessee.
